Decarbonising Transport: Assessing the Whole Life Cycle

The IET and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invite your contribution to our upcoming workshop on 4 May 2022 at 10.30am to 3.30pm BST, in which we will be discussing decarbonisation across all areas of transport. Reaching net zero will require addressing significant challenges.

The workshop will seek to evaluate some of the key questions, research areas and policies, culminating in a report from the day, which will be published shortly afterwards.

There will also be a networking lunch available to participants, where we encourage you to continue your discussions.

Reaching net zero will require addressing significant challenges. The decarbonisation of Transport requires whole-systems research to help us understand how to achieve net zero and how delivering zero emissions will impact and influence wider systems.

Join us for a workshop to discuss a wide range of questions:

  • Is the UK ready to meet its transport net-zero ambitions for 2050?
  • What impact would there be if this target was brought forward?
  • Have we considered the knock-on impact of these policies?
  • What are the research challenges we face?

If you are an expert in decarbonising transport, we would like your input. Register your interest by 22 April 2022 and we will get in touch if you have been selected for the workshop.

Places to attend the event will be offered to ensure diversity and equal representation across the sector.
